• Can I list on BenchMove if I have listed or posted my property with someone else?
BenchMove welcomes you to post your property on our site as well as others. You should have the freedom to list your properties where you wish to move them as quickly as possible.
• I want to put my property in the local paper. Can I use the BenchMove ID in my ad?
Absolutely. Utilizing both mediums promotes greater visibility for your property
• How can BenchMove do this service for free
We are able to provide this service via advertisers throughout the site.
• Do I have to register if I want to ask a question to a lister
No, you can click on the contact icon on the listers page. You will then be able to click on the email tab
• I have listed my property but am concerned about getting spam
We do not give out your contact information
• What contact information will be shown on the site
You have the option of either showing your email address and phone number or just your email address. You can change this in the Edit Your Account section
• How can someone contact me?
You will be contacted using the method you chose, email or telephone or both.
• How do I update my listing information?
Log into BenchMove, click on the My Listings tab at the top of the page, then click on your property. Remember to click on the Update Listing tab at the bottom of the page to save your updated information
• How do I update my contact information?
Log into BenchMove. Click the Edit Profile at the top of the page. Remember to click the Update Profile at the bottom of the page to save your new information
Seaching
• Why are there no listings in the area I am searching?
You may need to broaden your criteria as it may be to narrow of a search or there may be no properties in the area you are searching.
• Why are there so many listings when I search?
You may not have been specific enough with your criteria and may need to narrow down what you are looking for.
• I saw a property while driving, buy don't remember the exact address. How can I find it?
You can search by typing in the province / state, then the city. If you know the street the property was on, you can also type in that information in the search area
Site Usage
• Someone contacted me and is expressing interest in my listing. Now what?
It is up to you and the listing party to arrange for a safe and appropriate meeting.
• I have registered to list my property. Now what?
Once you have created a profile, click on the my listings button. This will bring you to the listing edit screen. You can then click on "Add Listing" button or edit an existing listing.
Enter the property details and save your new entry. Once you have created a listing, you can then add photos to the listing. You can have up to 20 images per listing.
It is the responsibility of the listing owner to ensure all the information provided is accurate.
• I saw a listing with inappropriate pictures / description / or video on it. What do I do?
You should flag the property as “inappropriate”.
BenchMove appreciates your assistance in flagging the property because
we make every effort to prevent inappropriate content from appearing however,
unfortunately, sometimes it happens.
• Who can put their properties on BenchMove?
Properties can be posted by: Real Estate Agents, Property Managers, Landlords, For Sale By Owner (FSBO).
• What is the BenchMove ID?
This is an ID number that is automatically provided by our site to identify a specific property
• How long are properties on the BenchMove site?
- Real Estate properties are kept on our site for 30 days.
- Rental properties are kept on our site for 60 days.
- Commercial properties are kept on our site for 90 days.
- A reminder email is sent out 7 days before your property is about to expire.
• How many times can I renew my listing?
You can renew you posting as many times as you need to to move your property.
